Valverde's Reign Continues To Destroy FC Barcelona
Saturday Sep 21, 2019
Saturday Sep 21, 2019
This week we discuss the atrocious performance of Barcelona at Granada as we lost 2-0. We have now dropped 8 points in 5 games, one of the worst starts in the last 15 years. Though we try to stay positive and discuss how to proceed, this game really seems like it might be an inflection point that starts the end of Valverde as coach. Hopefully, Messi can start to warm up as he had no preseason and we see more Arthur and Frenkie in the midfield.

Ter Stegen The Savior: Barca's Dull Draw vs. Dortmund
Tuesday Sep 17, 2019
Tuesday Sep 17, 2019
Today we discuss the draw against Borussia Dortmund in Germany in the Champions League. FC Barcelona's away struggles continued, although Ter Stegen's wonderful abilities let us hold on to a point. Though we are in the group of death, other results (mainly Inter drawing) has put us in a solid position to see ourselves through. Though Valverde's faith in Fati was a nice touch, we still need new attacking ideas to increase movement and width against defenses that hold up against our congested, middle of the park attack. Messi is back!!!!

FATI-MANIA: New Look Barca Impresses at Camp Nou
Sunday Sep 15, 2019
Sunday Sep 15, 2019
This week we discuss the 4th La Liga game of the season against Valencia. The continued use of young players by Valverde is paying off, as 16 year old Ansu Fati had a goal and assist in the first 10 minues! De Jong also joined with his first official barca goal, with Pique and Suarez (twice) adding in for the 5-2 victory. Our defense still looks a bit shaky, but the signs are positive heading into Tuesday's Champions League game against Dortmund. Hopefully Messi will be back!

Finally, we discuss the Champion's League draw and a few other general points as we head into the international break.

Griezmann Glitter Galore: Valverde's Young Squad a Sign of Hope?
Sunday Aug 25, 2019
Sunday Aug 25, 2019
Victory against Betis in the first home game of the season! Without Messi, Dembele or Suarez Valverde was able to start a young lineup that showed its resiliency when bouncing back from the early Betis counter attack goal. Griezmann scored two beautiful goals assisted by Sergi Roberto, with Carlos Perez, Jordi Alba, and Arturo Vidal rounding out the 5 total goals for Barca. Though the defense is a worrisome sign, we must take the good from Valverde's team tonight and use it to push forward against Osasuna next weekend!

Barca Breaks Down at San Mamés
Saturday Aug 17, 2019
Saturday Aug 17, 2019
This week we discuss the 4th Barca loss in their last 6 official regular season games. The downward skid that begin at Anfield continues. Though Valverde chose the same lineup that performed against Napoli, Bilbao at San Mames proved to be more difficult as a 89' goal by Arduriz sunk Barca and started our season with a loss. Thankfully Messi will be back for our first game at the Camp Nou against Betis on Sunday.

Sunday Aug 11, 2019
Sunday Aug 11, 2019
This week we discuss FC Barcelona's two preseason games against Napoli in the United States. We are extremely happy with how Dembele, Griezmann, and Frenkie de Jong have been getting up to speed and integrating into the team. We also address how Valverde will start the season at San Mames this Friday in our first La Liga game of the season. Finally, we make our predictions for the first two months of the season and try to figure out how the team will develop as the season starts.

Barca Upgrade: Griezmann and De Jong Arrive
Sunday Jul 28, 2019
Sunday Jul 28, 2019
The new season has us excited! With Griezmann and Frenkie De Jong joining the team, we are hopeful we will be in contention for all 3 major trophies this season. However, there are some big questions Valverde will have to sort through to find our strongest starting 11. And then there are the questions that hang over us until the season starts: Will Neymar join us and will this be at the expense of Dembele? Will Coutinho leave? How long will Malcolm and Semedo remain?

La Liga Complete: Another Uninspiring Valverde Game
Sunday May 19, 2019
Sunday May 19, 2019
This week we discuss the end of the 2018/19 La Liga Season and another uninspiring performance against Eibar. With injuries starting to pile up, the FC Barcelona still seem to be reeling from the loss at Anfield. In a game that perfectly describes the Valverde era, a rather lackluster Barca performance was saved by the clinical finishing of Lionel Messi.
