Laporta Speaks about Koeman's Future, Barca Transfers, Messi's Contract Renewal, and Super League!

The BarcaBreakdown discuss Joan Laporta's big, first press conference of the off season, as he discusses Koeman's future, the progress on Messi's contract negotiations, and the progress on the Super League. We discuss the pros and cons of Laporta's strategy.

 

On the one hand, it is refreshing to see Laporta speak directly to the public about his plans in comparisons with Bartomeu's presidency. The Super League, though very unpopular with fans, seems to be embraced by Laporta in a decision that puzzles us as the socio were supposed to vote on FC Barcelona entering the SL.

 

However, we are happy to hear that progress with Messi's renewal is happening. Though he has the Copa America to play with Argentina, it is looking like Messi is on his way to renew and stay at Barca.
